Isobel Robey
Exploring the concept of home, my current body of work delves into how we inhabit, experience, and remember domestic spaces.
Through an experimental interdisciplinary approach, my practice combines traditional printmaking, book arts, and papercraft. The intention is to capture small glimmers of the domestic, using subtlety and stillness to evoke a sense of familiarity and comfort.
I am particularly drawn to how internal spaces can serve as sanctuaries, offering a place of refuge and retreat. Considering the physical space of home to be essential, I find security in the consistency of my own environment, which contrasts with the fast pace and constant stimuli of modern life.
